2. Pacita Abad at MoMA PS1

3. A Feast for the Eyes: Sumptuous Still Lifes at Hudson River Museum

Still-life paintings are deceptively straightforward. They depict groups of objects—flowers, food, drink, and the vessels that contain them—yet they are often imbued with symbolic meaning. With loans from the Bronxville Historical Society, ‘A Feast for the Eyes’ at Hudson River Museum invites you to revel in lush expressions of beauty and abundance.

4. LAST CHANCE:

Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature

at the Morgan Library & Museum

On view at the Morgan Library & Museum, Beatrix Potter rooted her fiction in the natural world. She created (and trademarked) unforgettable animal characters like Peter Rabbit, Mr. Jeremy Fisher, and Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle. Summers spent in Scotland and the English Lake District nourished Potter’s love of nature and animals.

5. As For Now

Sean Kelly Gallery presents Hugo McCloud’s fifth solo exhibition with the gallery. McCloud revisits earlier bodies of work armed with a deeper understanding of the materials and how they interact. The exhibition presents new works from his signature plastic and tar stamped painting series.
